Why Guardian Financial Exists

Guardian Financial was created with a simple belief: families deserve protection that is intentional, honest, and grounded in reality — not driven by pressure, hype, or one-size-fits-all products.

Most financial firms are structured around selling a specific product or philosophy.

Guardian was built as an independent brokerage so we can focus on something more important — designing protection strategies around the actual needs of the people we serve.

Why Protection Became Personal

Before entering financial protection, I served as a firefighter and emergency responder in Arizona.

One call in particular changed how I think about protection forever.

We responded to a young father who had suddenly collapsed at home. He was only 34 years old. When we arrived, his wife was holding their six-month-old baby and pointed us toward the bedroom where he was lying on the floor.

He had no pulse.

We worked him, but he never came back.

We were in the kitchen with his devastated wife when a door cracked open behind us. The couples four-year-old son had woken up for school.

He was excited to show us his toy fire truck and lit up when he saw our engine outside.

Sitting in the back of the firetruck, he pointed to his dad’s truck in the driveway.

“My dad always takes me to school in that truck,” he said. “I can’t wait to tell him I got to ride in the fire engine today.”

That boy never got the chance.

Within two months, foreclosure began.

Those boys didn’t just lose their father. They lost their home too.

That call stayed with me because tragedy is unpredictable — but the financial consequences of being unprepared don’t have to be.

About Our Founder

My name is Jesse Simpson, and I’m the founder of Guardian Financial.

Before entering financial planning, I served as a United States Marine and later as a firefighter in Arizona, where I was honored as Arizona State Firefighter of the Year. Those experiences shaped how I think about responsibility, preparation, and what it means to protect people when it matters most.

In both the military and the fire service, the mission was clear: when people are facing uncertainty, someone has to be prepared to step in and help protect them. That mindset never left me.

During my years as a firefighter, I witnessed firsthand how quickly life can change for a family. Emergencies happen without warning. Sometimes the outcome is good, sometimes it isn’t — but what stayed with me most were the moments after the emergency, when families were left to deal with the financial and practical consequences of losing someone they loved.

I began to realize that many hardworking families weren’t failing because they didn’t care or didn’t try. They simply never had the right guidance or structure in place to protect what they had built.

That realization is what eventually led me into financial planning and protection strategies.

Over time, I saw a similar pattern appear as people approached retirement. Many individuals had done everything they were told to do — they worked hard, saved consistently, and invested for the future. Yet when market volatility, unexpected illness, or life disruptions occurred close to retirement, the plans they depended on often proved more fragile than they realized.

That disconnect between effort and protection is what led me to create Guardian Financial.

Guardian was built around a simple principle: financial protection should be intentional, thoughtful, and designed around the real lives of the people it serves. Not built around selling a single product or pushing a one-size-fits-all strategy.

As an independent brokerage, Guardian works across multiple carriers and structures so that solutions can be tailored to each client’s goals, timeline, and family priorities.

Today, my work focuses on helping families, professionals, and business owners protect what they’ve built and create stability for the future — particularly as they move closer to retirement and begin thinking more seriously about legacy, income security, and long-term protection.

I’m also a father to two young children, which reinforces these principles in a very personal way. When you have a family depending on you, the idea of protection becomes more than a financial concept. It becomes stewardship — of your family, your future, and the resources you’ve spent decades building.

Guardian Financial exists to help people create that stability.
